Becoming a Member:Any interested person who subscribes to the aims of the Society can become an ordinary member of LASSA. LASSA is affiliated to SEMDSA and SA Heart.
Persons distinguished for eminent services in the fields of lipid metabolism or atherosclerosis or other allied sciences may be made honorary members by the approval of the committee.
Honorary members shall enjoy all privileges of the Society but shall not have the right to vote, and will not be obliged to pay subscriptions.
The annual subscription to the
Society:
R100.00 (honorary members are free).
This covers the mailing costs of 2-3 newsletters per year as well as subscription to the International Atherosclerosis Society (IAS) which at present costs US $3.00 per member.
SA Heart arranges membership for LASSA and members are encouraged to become members of SA Heart and SEMDSA.
